First day in the mountains

These were some of the first pics I took in Breckenridge.  I wanted to edit them before I posted.

After a long winding trip up the very snowy roads, we arrived in Breckenridge.  We ate at a little hole in the wall called Angel’s Hollow. As you can see the owner/cook. waiter was quite a character.  It was a very odd restaurant, kind of southwestern food with Hell’s angels decor.  The food was amazing.  The kids played in the snow while we waited forour food. We were all kind of in shock at exactly how cold it was.  The temperature, according to my iphone was -12.  After lunch we drove to our rented house.  For the first time in my life I was absolutely speechless at the beauty of the surroundings.  The actual house was a five bedroom “cabin” and lived up to the advertising.  With 3 fireplaces and a hot tub, we were in heaven.  i know there are tons of pictures.  If you want to see any close up just click on to enlarge.

it looks just amazing! I’m going to have to re-think holiday vacationing in the near future and look into this place. I will look at the whole collection (on flickr) in a bit. Happy to have you home though!!! 🙂

Wow! It looks so beautiful there. I haven’t been in the snow since Jack was a baby. I miss it. Of course, I’d prefer Breckenridge over Buffalo (my hometown that we used to visit each winter).
I bet the kids had a blast. Lots of great memories!
