it’s hard without a picture to reference (or Madison sitting here in front of me LOL) but she seems more angular in person. Does that make sense? More elfin? Not sure if that is helping –

I can definitely see her in your drawing but you’re right…something is just a bit amiss. I think it’s in her eyes. But wow…I could never do that. I remember Jay drawing Meg for a class. He did pretty well but it’s so hard to get it perfect.

I think it’s great. I can’t even draw stick people so this is just awesome to me :). I think you are overanalyzing it. The one thing I remember from my college art professor was “Just do it..don’t redo it.”

Drawing faces is the hardest thing! I once did a portrait of my mother and my teacher marked me down for giving her a crooked nose. Then he met her at parent/teacher conferences and later apologized and returned my points because…she DOES have a crooked nose! Hehehe.

WOW Lily! What a great job! I agree with the other comments..there is something there that DOES look like her but I think maybe making the nose and mouth smaller might help???? Good luck, you are doing a great job!
