Project 365 Day 57 and 58

Day 57 Homework time

Homework time!

Tyler’s 1st grade teacher is known for giving excessive amounts of homework. He has to write these crazy extended sentences telling who what when were and why. He also has 5 or six worksheets and has to write his spelling words three times. All of this takes several hours a day. Lucky Tyler is a trooper. he rarely complains and takes pride in getting it done every day. 

 

 

Day 58

Picture Day! Madison wanted her hair curled for picture day. So armed with hairspray and a curling iron I went to work. Only 30 minutes later this is the result. Doesn’t she look sweet? Of course, now she wants me to do it all the time!

Project 365 days 55 and 56

I finally got around to scrapping some of these pics and I realized that I was having a hard time keep the days of the week and days straight.  So to simplify the process later on I am going to take the time to label all my pics before I get them printed.  We’ll see how that goes.

Day 55

In the Hood

I love when the kids play outside with the neighbors. For some reason they rarely congregate at our house. Today was an exception. We had the four Akils, Madison and some kid named Cooper. Cooper and Leila were trying to climb our pitiful little tree Hannah was watching Amira on ther scooter. Not sure what Madison and Sarah were cooking up in the corner

 

 

Day 56

Lazy day dinner

 After a long day of hanging out with a girlfriend, having lunch with the kids at school and a park playgroup I was too exhausted to cook. So we put in a call to Goodfellas for some tummy pizza goodness. Madison goes for the meatlover;s while I am partial to eggplant, extra garlic and black olives. Tyler is a strictly cheese boy and Neil just eats whatever is left.

Project 365 day 52-54

Day 52 – Not again!

Poor Atilla took another dip in the pool. He may look dead but it only took him about 20 minutes to recover.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 53- Buddies

Day 54-This is Madison’s room after a thorough cleaning. i know, it’s not that clean but I seriously think she’s genetically incapable of really cleaning. This took her about 2 hours and it doesn’t look much different than when she starts. She’ll clean a little, stop and play with something, then clean a little more…it takes her forever!

Project 365 Day 40-51

Day 40-Silly cat

Sweet Pandora has a love affair with the laundry basket. Very odd cat, she is!

 

 

 

 

 

Day 41-Delivery

It’s Girl Scout cookie time! Madison has alot of fun selling them but the delivery part is just a PITA!

 

 

 

 

 

Day 42 so pretty

Madison got a set of face crayons in her Valentine bag at school. Luckily they wash off easily.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 43-Slumdog Millionaire

Just love, love, loved Slumdog Millionaire. It’s a story about a guy from the slums of Mumbai. He does really well on the Indian version of Who Wants to be a millionaire. The story of how he knows the answers to the question is told through flashbacks of his life as in the slums. Incredible movie! Might be one of my favorites ever.

 

 

Day 44 Hmmm

No, we aren’t preparing for the end of the word. Neil just uses this crazy breathey mask thing when he uses fiberglass in his masks. Sexy!

 

 

 

 

Day 45coffee break

A Boston Coffeehouse just opened up in my neighborhood. It’s a great place to meet and relax. I’ve been feeling so stressed lately that it was nice to meet with Michelle and Laura, have some coffee and just chat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 46 Liquid sweat

Ugh, the entire family (minus me, of course) have developed a little addiction to Gatorade.  anyone who attended University of Florida knows that’s it’s basically electrolytes (sweat) and sugar…ick!

day 48- A touch of the Irish

Madison decided she wants to make a leprecaun trap so I picked up some fun green craft stuff at Joann’s. I couldn’t resist these fun St Patty’s day hats. I think green might be Tyler’s color In fact, in these hats he looks like he might be part leprachaun.  He’s so cute I think he deserves two pics

Day 50-school blues

I’ve been putting off writing my typography paper all semester.  If finally sat down to do it and it was just as hard as  I thought!  1000-ish words all about the font Univers.  With a topic like that, who needs enemies.  I did get it done though.  Go me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 51 Doggy Rescue

A 20 year old dog and an ice cold pool just don’t mix. Unfortnately, Atilla is a little old to get the concept so he sometimes wanders too close to the pool and needs a little daddy rescue.

I have been so busy with school projects that I’ve neglected my blog terribly.  Here are my project 365 photos from the past weekish.

Day 30 New Obsession

I am a huge fan of Starbucks Skinny Caramel lattes. With the crazy economy we’ve all had to cut back. My daily Starbucks runs have diminished to just once in awhile so I’ve had to find a substitute. I bought this caramel syrup for Madison’s milk but found it’s a great addition to coffee. Not quite Starbucks but not bad

 

 

Day 31 Fashion

Madison loves clothes! I love that she loves clothes. When I see something adorable that I think she’ll like I can’t help picking it up. I have tried to moderate it in an effort to save money but she still has a substantial wardrobe.

 

 

 

Day 32 Relaxing

Day 33 Tyler’s loves

The cat and his DS, these are the things that make Tyler happy. Of course, Mowgli isn’t all that happy to have Tyler laying on top of him but he seems to tolerate it.

Day 36 Atilla

Atilla is almost 9 years old. In spite of his bad hips and failing eyesight, he’s still in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, he sometimes stumbles into the pool so we have to keep a hawk eye on him when he goes outside. Poor little guy fell in the pool on one of the coldest days of the year
